King of the Web UPDATE!

Hello and welcome to the VertigoCraft (a part of VertigoGaming)-site!

Today I will talk about the King of the Web competition, what we have in store for the server and what is going to happen on my youtube channel (TheSommersMc).

King of the Web

So I ended up winning the fan-competition that WoWCrendor set up, when he ran for king. Overall he came in second, but won the Gamer-category. This means he will have his face on a limited edition of GamerFood and he will be joining us on the server to make some videos with me. The server will probably be closed while we are recording, but if you want to say hi to him, I will attempt to make a small gathering on the server before he leaves us.We will be recording tomorrow, Wednesday 21st of March.

Server Stuff

We are still waiting for Bukkit to release their first recommended build for Minecraft 1.2.3. Right now they have a BETA build, that I do not want to use, because I am afraid I will have to restart the server manually a-hundred-and-one times, because of unexpected crashes.

The server will be a SURVIVAL server, so standard rules apply.

Also, there will be held competitions in the Arenas that will be filmed and put on youtube. (More about it in the next section)

My Youtube Channel and its future

Since I am having WoWCrendor playing with me tomorrow, I expect to get some more publicity, this means that I will have to make more content to keep the viewers, but I don’t mind at all. Therefore, we will be making the Arenas active soon, where we will battle a group of Norwegian youtubers called OperationBrainDead. You are welcome to come spectate the fights and maybe even participate!

VertigoCraft Server Information

Welcome to the Server Information post. Here you will find information that will guide you through the contents of our server.

If you are not whitelisted on our server yet, please subscribe to my youtube channel for a chance to get a whitelist. (More information over there!)

Rules

  • No Hacking
    • Anything not on our ALLOWED MODS list, is considered hacking and will be punished.
  • No Spamming
    • This will get you Muted/Kicked/Banned depending on the severity of the case.
  • No Griefing
    • Please understand that when I say “Grief” I mean anything that will annoy or piss of admins or players. If I catch you, which I will, you will get permanently banned from our services.
  • Do what the admins tell you.
    • We are not here to cater for one single person, so if YOU mess up, you will be removed from the services as a service to others. Behave and you will be fine.

So far we have only created the spawn and VertigoVille, but in time, screenshots of the server will be available here.

Allowed Mods

Client-mods listed here are allowed on our server. Please note that all dependencies for these mods are allowed aswell. ONLY THESE MODS ARE ALLOWED.

How to join

We are currently playing with a whitelist and the only way to get whitelisted is by using a promotional code. Codes will be given anywhere from here, to my youtube-channel, so make sure you’re subscribed! :)
